On Saturday 17 October, Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, Cherry Street Sports Ballina and Paradis Movie Hire are teaming up to present A Minecraft Movie on the big screen under the stars.
Even better, your movie ticket includes entry to Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on the same day, so you can turn it into a full day out. Spend the day exploring the Sanctuary and meeting more than 110 incredible animals before heading to Cherry Street Sports Club for a relaxed family movie night.
Before the movie begins, some of our keepers and wildlife ambassadors will also be joining the fun for a few special animal encounters!

Make a Day of It
Start your adventure at the Sanctuary, where you can explore our wildlife exhibits and meet more than 110 animals.
Then, as the sun goes down, make your way to Cherry Street Sports Club at 5pm for our special wildlife encounters and to find your spot on the lawn and settle in for the movie.
Bring along a picnic blanket or outdoor rug, pack something warm for the evening and grab dinner or refreshments from Cherry Street Sports Club before the screening begins.

Where is the movie being held?
The outdoor cinema will be held at Cherry Street Sports Club in Ballina.
Is Sanctuary entry included?
Yes. Your event ticket includes admission to Ballina Byron Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday 17 October.
Do I need to visit the Sanctuary before the movie?
You can visit the Sanctuary during its normal opening hours on the day before heading to Cherry Street Sports Club for the evening screening.
Will there be animals at the cinema?
Yes! Our wildlife team will be bringing along some special wildlife ambassadors for encounters before the movie begins.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a picnic blanket or outdoor rug and warm clothing for the evening.
Can I purchase food?
Guests will be able to grab dinner and refreshments from Cherry Street Sports Club.
