New Arrivals & Big Projects Behind the Scenes

This month we’re buzzing with excitement as our Squirrel Glider experience officially kicks off!

Thanks to Shaun at BallinaFair guests can now get up close and personal with these sweet, gliding marsupials in an intimate keeper-led encounter – seeing their curiosity and hearing them interact has been a highlight for visitors and staff alike!

Meanwhile, construction has begun, and progressing well on our brand-new Reptile House – an ambitious and much-needed upgrade that will open in late 2025.

With the layout and build progress on the, we’re seeing our plans come to life. So, it’s exciting times at the Sanctuary, as we continue to get ready to welcome our new and current reptiles and friends into their new home!

The site is taking shape with the help of Dane and his team at Rolling Stone Projects!

We’re also organizing a group of incredible volunteers, we’ll be holding a painting day soon to help complete the exterior.

It’s the perfect way for our community to leave their mark (quite literally!) on this exciting build.
