Meet Sunny + High Tea Highlights

Autumn is such a beautiful time here at the Sanctuary, and there’s so much happening as we prepare for school holidays and the Easter weekend ahead.

You may have already met Sunny, our newest aviary addition! This stunning male Eclectus Parrot has settled in beautifully after completing his vet checks and quarantine. While his feathers are still recovering from frequent handling as a family pet, he’s thriving in his calm new environment — and we can’t wait for you to see how gorgeous he’s becoming.

We’re also delighted to be hosting our upcoming High Tea experience — an elegant afternoon set amongst nature, complete with sweet and savoury delights, perfectly paired teas, and a special colour analysis session to help you discover the shades that suit you best. It’s the perfect excuse to gather your friends for something a little indulgent.

With School Holidays just around the corner, we’re preparing for hands-on wildlife encounters, engaging keeper talks, and plenty of opportunities for young nature lovers to connect with the natural world. It’s the perfect Easter holiday activity for curious minds.

And don’t forget, World Frog Day is coming up soon! We’ll be celebrating these incredible little amphibians and highlighting why protecting their habitats is so important — keep an eye on our socials to learn how you can help make a difference.

The newest member of our aviary! 💚 This male Eclectus Parrot is known for his bright green feathers and gentle nature.

His feathers may look a little ruffled — after completing vet checks and quarantine, they’re healing from frequent handling as a family pet. Human oils can affect feather strength and smoothness, but with care and time, Sunny’s feathers will recover beautifully.
