Join our keepers for a one-of-a-kind reptile encounter as you walk with Dirawong, our stunning male lace monitor, in this immersive and educational wildlife experience.

In Walk the Dinosaur, you’ll accompany Dirawong on his daily enrichment stroll around the Sanctuary—watching as he explores, basks in the sun, and enjoys his favourite treats, all while safely harnessed with a reptile-friendly leash.

You’ll learn all about lace monitors, their unique behaviours, and the important role they play in the Australian ecosystem—straight from our expert reptile keepers.

Age: Suitable for children 7 years and over. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Time: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from at 2:00pm
Limit: Maximum of 2 participants per session

Includes:
• Join our keepers on a guided walk with Dirawong
• Observe natural behaviours like basking, feeding, and exploring
• Learn about lace monitor conservation and care from our reptile team
• Take photos using your own device to remember your WILD experience

Conditions:
This is a hands-off, outdoor walking experience. All participants must wear closed-in shoes and follow keeper instructions at all times. For the comfort and safety of Dirawong, interaction is calm and controlled.
