Meet Socrates, our beautiful barn owl, in this peaceful and up-close photo experience with one of our expert bird keepers. You'll learn all about this graceful nocturnal species, their important role in the ecosystem, and what makes Socrates such a special part of our Sanctuary family.

Watch as Socrates calmly perches nearby—then take a seat next to him for a stunning photo to remember your encounter. Please note: photos are taken using your own phone or camera.

Age: Patrons of any age are welcome. Children under 6 must sit on a parent or guardian’s lap for the photo. All children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
Time: Daily at 12:30 pm
Limit: Maximum of two people per photo

This is a hands-off experience to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Socrates. Guests must follow all instructions from the keeper during the encounter.
